Nikola Auterska

Cinematographer & Lighting Tech

Nikola Auterska: With a BA photography & conceptual fine art background, Nikola has always been interested in the visual language that film and photography has to offer. Her first moving image installations were part of the Lamina (2016) and ORTU (2018) exhibitions in Sheffield. Nikola continues her research which delves into the subconscious mind, neuroscience and the creative flow, which seeps into her work and continues to inspires her imagery. Her background of photography and publishing helped craft her eye for compositions and the language of juxtaposition between frames. After finishing her MA in Cinematography at Goldsmiths University of London Nikola continues to work as a DOP exploring lighting and textures. Through her visual language Nikola is always keen to unveil the subconscious narrative, the gaps between words and bring it to surface in her work. Nikola likes to merge the worlds of fantasy and realism which draws her to specific collaborations.

Corina Andrian

Choreographer

Corina Andrian is a Romanian-British multidisciplinary movement artist, film director and intimacy coordinator whose rigorous professional dance background visually weaves into her synaesthetic cinematic language. Corina’s choreography defies genres, blending surrealism and alien-like curiosity to question reality, echoing René Magritte idea of using reality to cast doubt on itself. She has directed over 15 dance short films, three artistic documentaries featuring world renowned dance artists including Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch Company, two sold-out physical theatre shows and films for a three-screen immersive theatre show. Her work has earned 7 Best Film Awards and over 100 global screenings, showcasing her lifelong research of physicalising cinema through camera and body choreography. Corina has led masterclasses for DELAZERO and Unfold Motion dance companies, sharing her multisensory method that connects movement and vitality with striking imagery drawn from everyday life’s extremes. For her, watching does not only involve seeing but a whole embodied intelligence. Website: https://www.corina-andrian.com/about
